In the tenth ring of hell
There are no bodies
No souls
But absences
Walking around
Bewildered
Not knowing what they are
Or where they are
Or what to do
The know nothing
Feel nothing
Sometimes they almost
Have a cogitation
They almost remember
What?
A thought? An emotion?
A sense of fear?
Guilt?
They try to hang on
Long enough
To let whatever it is
Take shape
Appear before them
But like trying to remember
A dream
Upon waking
The tighter they try to grasp it
The more it slips away.
These are the shapeless souls
Of the genocidiers of Gaza
Their torment
Is not to remember
Not to forget
But to be driven mad
For eternity
By almost remembering
And never forgetting
The monstrous cruelty
They enacted upon
The peoples and the land
Of Gaza
