Torrid Zones of Peace

There is peace
A cease fire to
Awaken us from sleep
Let our dreams come true
The world militarist is
Searching peace to give
His troubled body and mind
Peace/ cease fire/ fuming
With terror as the world
Explodes with another news
Peace. Peace.Peace.
May we all rest in peace
Someday
Yes, someday when the weather beaten
Hills, announce that they too want peace
From the smoke, the fog and the rains
Their besmirched bodies hit by rocks
And stones.
Then peace will sail among mists
And smouldering truths
About who wanted peace first
The body or the soul,
Resting in torrid zones of peace
