The will to win at any cost
Is a crude abomination
There are things far worse than a loss
To all of our vexation
To engage in dirty politics
Reveals a deep character flaw
Beyond the common dirty tricks
It tests the limits of our laws
To hurl a blatant falsehood
On the eve of our election
When the lie is understood
Upon closer introspection
He stands in certain violation
Of every decent moral test
To seek a higher elected station
In this life you should divest
This is how we are betrayed
This is why we lose our faith
When dirty politics are played
We lose our democratic state
There is a higher calling
