Sweetness brushed from afar

where the bees glided
above the flowers pink
where by the sun guided
my limbs no pollen bearing
from great distance arrive
with brush wet by ink
to honey write and sweeten
the breeze between us.

Wei Santang is a scholar born and educated in the Far West in the second half of the 20th century.
