Ink and stars
by Rob Plath / June 12th, 2022
i remember
i was 5 years old
and my father
used to hit me
w/ a thick rolled up
newspaper
hard across
the face
i saw stars
and had ink
on my skin
but i still grew
to love
the written word
and looking up
at the night sky
