It never dies

Have you heard anything about Palestine lately?
It’s as though a land of 6 million souls
Has been wiped off the map, out of existence

It seems the orange huckster
And his song-and-dance minions
Have done just that

Palestine? Hmmm? I have a vague recollection
But I can’t quite put my finger on it
Was it in Africa?

And of course that is the real intention
To erase the land
And all memory of it

To start new with a clean slate
To eliminate Palestine
From the text books of remembrance

But Palestine is more than a map
It is a prayer, alive and well
In the hearts and minds of its people

Palestine has not vanished
It is right here in front of you
It lives, it breathes, it never dies
