Initially, on July 15, what was thought to be the most important vote of the day was the Massie/Khanna amendment which would have deleted $3.3 Billion from the US annual gift to Israel. What was unexpected was Congress seizing the opportunity to sneak through a vote on the $1.15 Trillion NDAA with its objectionable Section 224 merger of integrating the nation of Israel within the US Federal government.
In other words, there was a pre-planned secretive agenda to adopt the NDAA including the Israel merger without informing or alerting the public or to arouse citizen opposition.
At stake is nothing less than preserving the sovereignty of the United States as a Constitutional Republic.
That day the entire House agenda was a well-organized rapid sequence of potential House floor action with sketchy information making it difficult, at first glance, to anticipate the significance of the day’s legislative agenda. In other words, there were unexpected approvals on the schedule with no prior warning especially including the NDAA approval with the controversial ‘merger’ buried unseen within Trump’s SAVE America Act. Hence, in a deliberate act of legislative trickery, the controversial SAVE America Act was adopted by the House with the NDAA Israel-US merger language contained therein.

First on the agenda was consideration of the Massie Amendment with five minutes allotted for completion of the vote which created a somewhat more frantic agenda rather than the usual 15 minute vote.
HR 8595 Massie Amendment: $3.3 B cut to Israel 104 – 314 with all GOP House Members in opposition except for one GOP vote (Massie) along with nine NV and ten voting Present .
The majority of Dems voted to block the NDAA with 98 Nay Dem votes; it was a considerable shift for the Democrats as the first time the Dem majority has not supported Israel. That number may be expected to increase with mid term elections; if Dems elect a House Majority it is possible that Hakeen Jeffries may need to find a new job.
While Jeffries did not support Massie and is recipient of $1 M from AIPAC, a new House Majority may appropriately determine the need for a Majority Leader who supports to its majority Members.
Since 94% of current House Members accept AIPAC donations, 82% of those votes, not so coincidentally, vote with Israel 100% of the time – all of which constitute bribes for votes in the loss of fulfilling the expectation of the country’s Founders to maintain its ‘self government’ experiment. At this point it would be fair to hypothesize that the self-government concept is desperately faltering and in need of an infusion of American patriots.
Those AIPAC and other donations are in addition to a House Member’s lucrative $175 K salary plus generous Federal benefits; it would be unreasonable to expect House Members to remain independent thinkers voting their conscience if, in fact, their conscience no longer a vital function.
One effect of Israel merger with US military is that US military at $1.5 T will now claim new ownership – free and clear as US ownership is corrupted with those who commit genocide on a casual basis. In other words, the House of Representatives has now proven its devolution into a second-rate gang of grifters easy to manipulate with no honor or integrity, many of whom can be seen as traitors to the country lining their pockets as its major incentive to government service.

Final Vote Results for Roll Call 246 Motion to Recommit HR 8595 failed on 209 – 216 Motion offered by Rep. Gabe Amo (RI)
The Motion to Recommit was presumably offered in an attempt to send the NDAA back to Committee but with no guarantee that the Massie Motion or the offending Israel/US ‘merger’ language would be ‘reconsidered’ which would have been a preferable alternative than approving the NDAA . The Motion to Recommit was a strictly party line vote including ALL Dems and ALL GOP Members of the House thereby indicative of the importance of adopting the NDAA including its objectionable ‘merger’ language.

Final Vote Results for Roll Call 247 NDAA Final Passage which piggybacked with Section 224 merger language as well as Trump’s SAVE America Act 209 – 217
Mostly a party line vote with all Dems voting NO and all GOP Members voted to approve the NDAA as amended – the exception was one GOP Member Rep. Tom Massie (Ky.) voting NO with Rep. Jared Golden (Maine) who receives $3.7 Million from AIPAC voting AYE. There were five Not Voting.

U.S. Senate: U.S. Senate Roll Call Votes 119th Congress – 2nd Session Meanwhile on the Senate side, Senators opposed to the Israel-US ‘merger’ were able to block a Motion for Cloture which would have allowed a final vote on passage of the NDAA. In a strict party line vote thanks to Senators Barney Frank (Vt), Sen. Chris Van Hollen (Md), Sen. Ed Markey (Mass), Sen. Jeff Merkley (Oregon) Sen. Peter Welch (Vt.) among others were able to block a vote which would have allowed a final passage vote approving the NDAA including the ‘merger’ language. The Cloture Motion would have required a 3/5 vote.
Therefore, the NDAA with its accompanying Section 224 merger is still pending before the Senate, awaiting another Senate Floor vote.
GOP Senators who opposed Cloture, thereby presumably are in favor of the reprehensible US-Israel merger, included all GOP Senators but especially Sen. Mike Lee (Utah), Sen. Josh Hawley (Mo), Sen. Rand Paul (Ky) Sen. Ron Johnson (Wisc) and Sen. Eric Schmitt (Mo) – all of whom would benefit from constituent contact.
From President George Washington’s Farewell Address 1797:
Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence (I conjure you to believe me, fellow citizens) the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government. But that jealousy to be useful must be impartial; else it becomes the instrument of the very influence to be avoided, instead of a defense against it. Excessive partiality for one foreign nation and excessive dislike of another cause those whom they actuate to see danger only on one side, and serve to veil and even second the arts of influence on the other. Real patriots, who may resist the intrigues of the favorite, are liable to become suspected and odious, while its tools and dupes usurp the applause and confidence of the people to surrender their interests.
The great rule of conduct for us in regard to foreign nations is, in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connection as possible.
