Israel Merger and Anti-Semitic Legislation Confront Dem Socialists

It is more than ironic that prior to the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, Democratic primaries in NYC and DC elected a handful of new House candidates identified as Democratic Socialists. Those victories were followed by an upset victory in Colorado defeating a thirty year incumbent.

Besides self-identifying as Socialists, all those candidates oppose further Trump acquiescence to the dictates of Israel.

Those NYC candidates were part of a candidate slate organized by Mayor Zohran Mamdani and motivated by the failings of the Trump Administration identified for its fascist tendencies, the genocides in Gaza and Lebanon, settler attacks in the West Bank as well as Israel’s political domination of US foreign policy. Some of those primary victories included the defeat of long term Democrat incumbents.

Former NYC Controller Brad Lander defeated Rep. Dan Goldman in the 10th CD. Lander, who is Jewish, accused Israel of genocide and apartheid while verifying that “being against the govt of Israel is not anti semitic.” Goldman agreed afterward that the election “came down to Israel and Gaza” adding that “People are incredibly horrified by the devastation going on in the Middle East.” Goldman is also sponsor of HR 9211, the Jewish American Security Act and has several months remaining of his Congressional term.

In addition to Lander, NY State Assemblywoman Clair Valdez won NY’s 7th CD as its incumbent was retiring; she defeated the Brooklyn Borough President. Also part of the Mamdani slate was Darializa Chevalier, a doctoral student at Columbia University who won in the 13th CD upsetting the incumbent Chair of the House Hispanic Caucus.

The Mamdani slate also included four more winners elected to the NY State Legislature with a new State Senator going to Albany.

A few days later in Denver, PhD student and attorney Melat Kiros campaigned on Medicare for All, abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement and supporting universal childcare included defending university students protesting Israel’s war on Gaza. Kiros defeated a thirty year Democratic incumbent.

In DC, Democratic Socialist candidate Janeese Lewis George, a member of the DC Council and mother of a young boy, was elected Mayor of Washington DC. Upon her election and in typical Trump style, the President threatened to invoke the Home Rule Act which could allow a Federal takeover of the City.

All of the House winners are from “safe” Dem districts and are expected to easily prevail in the upcoming mid term elections. None of these campaigns were considered slam-dunk easy victories until after the ballots were counted but required enough inner grit to speak their minds with a clarity and purpose refreshing for any elected official especially in the Democratic party. Especially challenging was their united clear-minded opposition to Israel having assumed a decisive role in ordaining Trump’s foreign policy.

Once a beacon for the entire world, the bicameral Congress was adopted in 1787 with a lower House election every two years, representing the popular will of the American public. Today, that House is renown as a bevy of mostly complacent, apathetic Members who depend on donor/AIPAC largesse in addition to their generous $175K salary along with comparable benefits.

Once they take office, the question remains how the new House Members will contribute to legislative topics that best represent the most essential opportunities for meaningful social and economic justice, critical foreign policy choices that restore international law to its role offering in a peaceful world.

While the US is currently in the midst of an internecine struggle with the Trump Administration in its efforts to terminate its First Amendment rights, there are at least two legislative topics currently pending in the House being aggressively hustled by the US and Israel that would irrevocably forever alter the US Constitutional form of government.

As if the timing could not be more coordinated, upon its return to the Capitol on July 13th, Congress will consider legislative language to ‘merge’ the nation of Israel deep within the bowels of the US Federal government. Section 219 will provide Israel with the inside tract to usurp every nuance of the US Constitution and Declaration of Rights to transform the American way of life into a totalitarian regime.

Currently pending before Congress are adoption of the 2027 NNDA (National Defense Authorization Act – HR 8800 – Section 219) and the 2027 Intelligence uthorization Act (S 4515) as pertaining to US military and US intelligence policy.

Also on the docket will be the Jewish American Security Act (HR 9211) which was introduced on June 2 by Rep. Dan Goldman (NY) who lost his re election to Brad Lander. HR 9211 also includes thirty nine bi partisan co-Sponsors.

With no national or Congressional debate or decisive committee vote, the “merger” threatens dissolution of the US Constitution and the Declaration of Independence along with other sacred American founding documents will be rendered irrelevant and no longer in force.

The potential “merger” will be adverse to US national security interests as Israel will be privy to classified US policy discussions and decision making on foreign policy. The merger will further limit the role of State Department to pursue foreign policy objectives and will lock the US into participation with Israel on its full time war agenda with Lebanon, Turkey, Egypt, Syria, Iran and every other military adventure in pursuit of its Greater Israel Project.

Section 219 (formerly 224) would appoint an executive coordinator to facilitate all aspects the multifaceted ‘merger’ with Israel. That coordinator would not necessarily be an American.

Further details of the multiple dangers of that “merger” can be found in Tucker Carlson’s recent conversation with former Rep. Dennis Kucinich and in Israel Usurps US Constitutional Authority.

In an outrageous denial of its legislative jurisdiction as well as a flagrant Constitutional breach, the House Rules Committee denied Rep. Massie/Rep. Khana’s amendment which would have stricken Section 219 from the NDAA. With that denial, the House and American public will be deprived of a public debate on the “merger” as denial of Massie/Khanna on the House floor will also deny the American public a roll call vote.

While the House Armed Services committee did not conduct a formal committee hearing or debate on Section 219 yet it has acted as if the NDAA has been adopted by the House which remains without a public debate or a public vote; thereby in violation of the Committee’s Constitutional duty to fully consider the merger.

In other words, there are powerful forces blocking opposition to this merger from public review at every level.

The illegitimate Integration of a foreign country within the US may be seen as an admission that the American experiment in “self government” begun by the Founders in 1776 has failed.

On June 9, the Jewish American Security Act (HR 9211) was introduced by Rep. Dan Goldman (NY) and Rep. Mike Lawler (NY) as co sponsor along with thirty nine bi partisan House co Sponsors. Senate sponsors for HR 9211 are Sen. Jacki Rosen (Nv) and Sen. James Lankford (Okla.).

HR 9211 would address allegations of anti-Semitism raises extensive First Amendment violations with the appointment of an administrator to monitor Palestinian activity on campus, provide a $1 Billion grant to Zionist groups, coordinate/monitor data collection with social media as well as reorient federal law enforcement to identify Israel critics as terrorists.

There is some urgency for the Zionists to adopt both the NDAA and the JASA asap as the American public becomes better informed about the role of Israel in dictating disastrous US foreign policy decisions in Venezuela and Iran and the cost of over $300 Billion to American taxpayers.
