Bangladesh, Circa 2025
by Ananya S. Guha / January 4th, 2026
Manacled hands
Fifty four years of
Freedom mean nothing
As now the liberation
Is from secular voices
Story of a nation whose
History is tainted with
Oppressive forces, Indian
Intervention and now back
To those whose people raped
And killed.
Full stop.
You need more blood in your hands
Ask for more freedom to kill
Yes to kill, in the fantasy
Of nether lands.
In these fifty four years what
Did you do?
A nation prosperous they said
And now the lands prosper
With rivers flowing with tribulation
Of red.
