A system that does not contain
The flow of money to elections
Leaves a large corrupting stain
On the process of selection
The oligarchs will rise
When the people are held back
They will propagate their lies
In a frontal wave attack
It was Citizens United
That enabled this insanity
Our hearts and souls divided
A sharp blow to our humanity
When big money is allowed
To flood the nation’s airwaves
The only voices are the loud
The rest become mere slaves
The people must fight back
This injustice must not stand
Our democracy has cracked
Let’s devise a better plan
For we still possess the vote
They will steal it if they can
It is time to rock the boat
It is time to take a stand
