Alleys of Wonder…

There is a time
That students become
Conscious of rights
They can dismantle
Edifices
And structures
Not by hollow protests
But by dancing, singing
And laughter
Satire and bonhomie thereafter
We saw it in Bangladesh, Nepal
And India
What did they do to laughter?
Tried to suppress
In fearful gesture
This is how the powerful matter
And the students, the students
Remained like a rock, clasped hands
Prayed in solemnity , charged
Towards lathi wielding police
And we compose a poem in
Alleys of wonder
