It will never stop
When winds change
The war goes on
It will never end
When there are floods
The war goes on
It will continue
Even when there is
Unrest in the streets
The war goes on
Which is a bigger war
Poverty or those where
Missiles are used?
The war goes on
It does not matter which country
It matters which men, women
And children
The war goes on
Brokering peace will not help
The wars go on
In these rain prone hills
I hear of the wars
I don’t understand foreign policies
I understand only wars
What I don’t understand
Is why they go on
We hear leaders, heads of state
Talking, smiling even laughing
Will someone please ask them
Why they go on?
What do they discuss
War or peace
Or why they go on?
What is the magic to halt them?
For them to discontinue?
Never mind they still go on and on
