Recipe for Disaster

Our society is in dire need of spiritual enlightenment based on truths
However, most congregations are at the mercy of a misguided pastor
They condone murder and larceny at the price of our nation’s youths
Perpetuating those beliefs is utter blasphemy – a formula for disaster

Our community is starving for facts and the real news as it happens
Conversely, we are fed obvious falsehoods by sold-out newscasters
Our rights gradually vanish as we’ve fallen victim to federal tap-ins
Maintaining this conduct is outright fascism – a precept for disaster

Our country’s children require an untainted and unbiased education
Contrarily, the void of intellect and imagination could not be vaster
Current textbooks and teaching methods are aimed at mind sedation
Holding this course surely dumbs us down – a blueprint for disaster

Our citizens desire leaders willing to die to defend our constitution
But sadly, those in power serve the interests of a foreign spellcaster
So our ideals of liberty and justice have suffered a grave execution
Pursuing this policy is tantamount to treason – a model for disaster

Our welfare depends on the integrity of our leaders and their loyalty
Instead, they have surrendered all control to an evil and alien master
Plutocrats and foreign political zealots have been elevated to royalty
Sustaining this submission is pure idiocy – a prescription for disaster

Why do we so persist in this downward spiral?
Our foolish pride keeps us from being alerted
If only truth and enlightenment could go viral
Then this recipe for disaster would be averted
