Many Americans may still remember when Donald Trump was masquerading as the Peace President. In his pre-and-post inaugural vows, Trump began by promising to end the war in Ukraine in ‘one day’ for a total of fifty three verbal guarantees. Today the Ukraine War continues as it is threatening to enlarge into a more widespread, significant conflict after a war crime strike in Lugansk that killed twenty two teenagers. In 2019, comedian Volodymyr Zelensky ran for President and was elected on a peace platform.
The Trump Presidency has deteriorated into an irresponsible source not only for lack of addressing the country’s economic challenges but also on a par with an extravagant military and foreign policy which no longer serves the best interests of the American people. The President has proven to be too willing to acquiesce the Israel Zionists with a strategy of widespread devastating strikes on civilians across the Middle East especially including Palestinians in Gaza and the Christians in southern Lebanon.
Trump’s Alaska meeting in 2025 with his then best-bud Russian President Vladimir Putin to resolve the Ukraine conflict addressing “primary causes” of the conflict failed to come to fruition. After which, Trump continued to covertly support the war with funds and weapons to maintain Ukraine. Those interceptors are currently in short supply as Trump’s Iran war is now in need of its own weapons.
The Ukraine war continues with an accelerated attack on Russian civilians, most recently on a student dormitory in the Lugansk oblast which killed twenty two students. There has been no doubt that the attack originated with Ukraine – while President Zelensky attempted to blame its target as an ‘elite drone command unit” which did not convince any media outlets. The school was targeted with great efficiency to focus on the environment of the Lugansk dormitory.
Moscow conducted a retaliatory strike on May 23-34 as its ‘cup of patience has overflowed’ urging all foreign nationals, diplomatic staff and employees of international organizations to “leave Kyiv as soon as possible”. The strike contained a large scale combination of 90 missiles and 600 drones with an Ohreshnik intermediate-range hypersonic ballistic missile which claimed four lives.
The Russian warning came after Ukraine’s four hour lethal drone attack on the Starobelsk College of Lugansk State Pedagogical University dormitory on May 22 which killed twenty two students. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov “officially informed” US Secretary of State Marco Rubio of its intention to initiate ‘systematic and consistent strikes’ specifically on Kiev military targets including its decision making centers.
Starlink has been identified by Russian sources alleging that the drones were controlled using Starlink, with the remains of a Starlink Mini terminal displayed amongst the wreckage. Starlink terminal presence in Ukraine was noted in 2022. (My X membership was ‘suspended’ for using free speech to identify Starlink participation – so much for free speech.)
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that in retaliation, Russian Armed Forces delivered a massive strike by precision weapons hit ten military enterprises in Kiev, including airborne, ground-based and seaborne long-range precision weapons, including air-launched hypersonic ballistic missiles and attack unmanned aerial vehicles, hitting enterprises of Ukraine’s military-industrial sector, fuel and transport infrastructure used by the Ukrainian army and military airfields.
Two days after the attack on Starobelsk, as if accepting no sense of responsibility or morality, Ukraine President-for-life Vladimir Zelensky sent a personal letter to President Trump urgently requesting a new weapons stash into order to continue his conflict with Russia, especially Patriot PAC 3 Interceptor at $4.2 M.
More importantly, the US Congress has consistently failed to understand the historical context of the 1990 agreement protecting Russia’s border from NATO incursion in exchange for German reunification.

As if confirming US support for Ukraine, members of the US Senate frequently visit Ukraine as a recent Senate delegation visited in mid February with four Senators attending. The Congress has never stopped providing US taxpayer funds at $188 billion (through 2025) as well as increasing sanctions against Russia meant to economically cripple the country.
Meanwhile, mere days after the attack in Lugansk, in acknowledgment of being long time war supporters, US Senator Richard Blumenthal (D- Conn) and Rep. Jim Himes ( D-CT ) arrived in Kiev offering no recognition of the tragedy which had just occurred as the talk of war continued. Himes assured Zelensky that Congressional support will continue.
“We are not intimidated by Russian threats or abuse; we are not afraid, and the people of Ukraine should in no way be subjected to such intimidation,” Blumenthal stressed.
Blumenthal’s aggressive response continued as US diplomats defied Russia’s warnings to evacuate while the US plans to continue providing long range weapons including HIMARS, ATACMS, F16s among other weapons. Blumenthal and Zelensky are Zionist brothers who share support for Netanyahu’s regime of war, genocide, supremacy, and ethnic cleansing.
It might seem peculiar that the US State Department would permit Blumenthal/Himes to travel to Ukraine given Lavrov’s warning and level of violence at Starobelsk which can only be explained by a typical blind American hubris embodied by the belief of a great hegemonic Empire.
Following former Hungarian PM Viktor Orban’s example, newly elected Prime Minister Peter Magyar continues to refuse to provide Ukraine with weapons or troops in a statement to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Brussels. Meanwhile, German Chancellor Fredrich Merz stated that “We will not weaken our efforts to support Ukraine” which only serves to prolong the conflict in Ukraine. The German AFD party which expects to replace Merz in the new future, have already announced their plan to stop weaponizing Ukraine and plans to reestablish its relationship with Russia to purchase its oil.
Karaganov Chair of Council for Foreign and Defense Policy Russia said Russia has been “too patient and too prudent” claims UK had already struck at Russia Black Sea fleet at Sevastopol with UK Storm Shadow missiles located at Stevenage at Hertfordshire.
American actress Angelina Jolie, along with other Hollywood Celebs, has made multiple trips to Ukraine on behalf of the Legacy of War Foundation. Jolie sought to raise awareness of what she identified as Russian ‘crimes’.
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev responded that “European nations are direct participants in the war against Russia, and nobody’s even pretending otherwise anymore.”

I believe that the intensification of the strikes on Kiev is an inevitable response to the recent escalation of Ukrainian attacks deep into Russian territory. If Russia increases its strikes on Ukraine’s largest city without worrying about collateral damage, it will have more opportunities to destroy Ukrainian drone production facilities and stockpiles.
Dmitry Suslov, deputy director of the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, CFDP member:
The barbaric strike by the Ukrainian armed forces on Starobelsk marked a peak in their escalating terrorist activities against Russia, which have been intensifying for months. These actions included increasingly widespread long-range attacks targeting civilian infrastructure deep within Russian territory.
Europe plays a direct role in these assaults, as the production of drones for Ukraine is based on its territory. European countries also allow these drones to pass through their territory and provide Kiev with crucial intelligence information used for the strikes. Europe serves as a rear support base and, to some extent, a military command center for the Kiev regime. Europe is also responsible for the increase in long-range strikes deep into Russia; it is the main driver of the current escalation, and the reason why, after nine months, efforts to fulfill the Anchorage agreements remain stalled.

On May 30, the Saratova oil refinery in SW Russia was hit with a massive Ukraine attack including 217 drones spread over ten Regions in Russia including the town Kharkiv, areas of Crimea and the Sea of Azov as well as a Rosneft fuel depot and unidentified infrastructure. Zelensky took credit for the attack: “Tonight, our soldiers applied Ukraine’s long-range sanctions against an oil refinery in Saratov, Russia – approximately 700 kilometers (435 miles) from the front line. A significant achievement.”
In addition it is reported that in an attack over Crimea, Ukraine took down two Russian spy planes, (TU-142 long range aircraft), hit an oil tanker and an Iskander missile complex near Sevastopol.
On the eve of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, June 3- 5, the time may be approaching when Russia may seriously pursue retribution not only against the Lugansk attack but specific to NATO-states responsible for drone manufacture and aiming drone operations deep within Russia or use of its air space or manufacturing of weapons that have been used for attacks deep within Russia aimed at its civilian population.
